Help & User Guide

Welcome to InvenLogix v3.0 — a complete inventory management portal for tracking utility meters from warehouse to installation.

  • Use the sidebar to navigate between modules.
  • The Dashboard shows a real-time overview of inventory counts and recent activity.
  • Your role (shown in the top bar) determines which features you can access.

Statuses
  • Warehouse — Item is in stock, not yet assigned.
  • Assigned — Item has been assigned to a technician for installation.
  • Installed — Item has been installed at a customer location.
Receiving Inventory

Go to Receive Inventory and paste serial numbers into the text area — one per line, or separated by commas/spaces. Select the meter type. Click Submit.

Locations and Chain of Custody

Every receive, assignment, return, installation, RMA, or loss moves the item to a physical or lifecycle location and records who performed it. Open an item's History page to review the complete movement ledger.

Cycle Counts

Choose Cycle Count from Inventory, select a location, and scan everything physically present. The session reports missing and unexpected items without automatically changing inventory records.

Assigning to Technicians

Go to Assign to Tech, select the technician, paste serial numbers, and submit. Use "Return to Warehouse" to unassign items.

Item History

Click the History button on any inventory row to see a full timeline of every change made to that serial number.

MAC addresses are calculated automatically from serial number ranges configured under MAC Settings.

  • Use the MAC Calculator (MAC Settings → Test) to verify a serial number's MAC address.
  • Generate MAC stickers for labeling meters before dispatch.
  • Generate Box Labels for packaging.

When a technician cannot complete an installation, they submit a Suspend via the mobile form at /suspends/submit.

Admins review suspends at View Suspends. The workflow is:

  1. New — Just submitted.
  2. Reviewed — An admin has reviewed it.
  3. Resolved — Issue has been resolved.

Addresses that appear in multiple suspends are automatically flagged as repeat addresses.

The Reports page shows interactive charts and tables:

  • Installation Trends — daily/weekly/monthly install counts over time.
  • Tech Assignments — how many items each technician currently holds.
  • Inventory Aging — how long items have been sitting in the warehouse.
  • MAC Audit — flags missing or duplicate MAC addresses.

All data can be exported as CSV using the export buttons.

Roles
  • superadmin — Full access including Audit Log and user deletion.
  • admin — Access to all inventory, suspends, MAC, and user management (except deletion).
  • user — Dashboard access only.
Password Reset

Admins can reset any user's password from the Manage Users page. Users can reset their own via the Forgot Password link on the login page.

Toggle dark mode using the / button in the top navigation bar. Your preference is saved to your account and persists across sessions.
